Hoërskool Ermelo’s Class of 2025 delivers outstanding matric results

Hoërskool Ermelo’s matric Class of 2025 has delivered an exceptional performance in the National Senior Certificate examinations, achieving an impressive 98.7% pass rate, with 93% of learners qualifying for further studies.

The school recorded a total of 128 distinctions, with 15 learners each earning more than two distinctions, highlighting strong academic depth across the class.

Academic excellence was also evident across subjects, with 13 subjects achieving a 100% pass rate, while a further five subjects recorded pass rates above 96%.

Special congratulations go to John-Pierre van Rooyen, who achieved six distinctions. Congratulations are also extended to Ruan Grobler, Maret Maritz and Megan McDermid, who each achieved five distinctions.

In addition, learners in Music, Visual Arts, Life Orientation and Tourism achieved an average of above 70%, rounding off an outstanding year for the Class of 2025.
