Nederland Park Secondary School recently hosted its highly anticipated Interhouse athletics day on Friday, the 26th of January, at the AJ Swanepoel Stadium in Ermelo.
This year, the athletes were split into two teams, igniting a spark of excitement and anticipation among the students as they embraced the spirited rivalry between the Sharks and the Bulls.
As the competition progressed, the boys demonstrated remarkable skill in the high jump, while the girls showed their strength on the track, especially in the fiercely competitive 100-meter dash. The field events, including shot put and various other disciplines, witnessed impressive displays of skill and determination from participants across both teams.
As the Interhouse day ended and the school crowd cheered their teams on, the Sharks emerged victorious, claiming the Interhouse victory this year.
At the end of the day, 67 athletes from the Sharks and Bulls teams were selected to advance to the circuit level, scheduled for the 9th of February at the AJ Swanepoel Stadium. We extend our best wishes to these athletes as they prepare for the next competition stage.
