The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Bushbuckridge has launched an appeal for public assistance in locating 13-year-old Rodney Junior Mathebula, who was reported missing earlier this month. Rodney, who resides at Boikhutso in the Bushbuckridge policing area, was last seen on 14 February 2026 at his home. According to police, his mother and a neighbour searched the surrounding area and made enquiries within the community, but their efforts to find him were unsuccessful.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in locating Rodney to come forward. Members of the public can contact Lt Col Cindy Mkhabela on 082 469 1298, call Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or submit information anonymously via the MySAPS App. Police have assured that all information received will be treated with the strictest confidentiality as efforts continue to reunite Rodney with his family.
