BADPLAAS – Key leisure facilities at Badplaas, A Forever Resort remain closed following flash flooding that struck the area on 8 April 2026, causing significant damage to pools, slides and the hydro spa complex.

The sudden flooding, reportedly triggered by a dam wall collapse upstream, sent large volumes of water through the resort, leaving behind debris and damage across its popular water-based attractions. Resort management confirmed that the pools, slides and hydro facilities were closed immediately after the incident as a precaution.

According to information provided by resort staff during a booking enquiry, affected facilities may only be fully operational again within two to three months. This extended timeline reflects the scale of the clean-up and repair work currently underway.

Despite the damage to recreational areas, the resort remains open to guests, with accommodation largely unaffected. Management has indicated that teams are actively working on recovery efforts while keeping guests informed of ongoing developments.
