Runners from the Ermelo Athletics Club delivered outstanding performances at the recent Loskop Marathon, making their mark across the 50km, 21km and 10km events with a series of strong finishes.
In the demanding 50km ultra-marathon, Nico Weweje led the club’s efforts with a time of 5h 39m. He was followed by Anri Mclean in 5h 54m and Hilda Kotze in 5h 56m, while Sizo Moshe rounded off the group with a solid 6h 10m finish.

The 21km half marathon also saw a strong turnout from the club. Tommie Jacobz and Thomas Jacobz both completed the race in 1h 57m, with Thomas securing an impressive second place in his category. Other finishers included Leana Lloyd (2h 11m), Emile Strydom (2h 25m), Madelein Landman (2h 29m), Jodine Venter (2h 34m), Yolanda Rautenbach (2h 41m), Leonie Potgieter (3h 01m), and Annaline Weweje (3h 38m).

In the 10km event, Zelda Keyser delivered a standout performance, finishing in 57m 21s. She claimed first place in the women’s 50+ category and secured an impressive fifth place overall among female runners.
The results highlight the depth of talent within the Ermelo Athletics Club, with athletes showcasing endurance, consistency, and competitive spirit at one of the province’s most well-known races.
