The Cheetahs Indoor Hockey franchise, based right here in Ermelo, is calling on the community to come together for a fun-filled day of golf, all in support of a fantastic cause! The team is hosting its annual Fundraiser Golf Day on 29 November 2024 at the Ermelo Country Club, and they need your participation and sponsorship to keep their players on the field.
Since 2020, the Cheetahs have represented Ermelo and surrounding areas at the Junior and Senior National Pro Series Indoor Hockey Tournaments. Under the new leadership of Vusi Nkosi, the team has grown from strength to strength, sending multiple teams to nationals and achieving remarkable accolades, such as Player of the Tournament awards and Fair Play recognitions.
This year, the Cheetahs are preparing to send their talented junior and senior teams to the 2024 Nationals in Cape Town from 12 to 19 December. These dedicated young athletes are training hard, but the costs associated with travel, accommodation, and tournament fees are significant. To help reduce these expenses, the Cheetahs have launched several fundraising initiatives, with the Golf Day being a major one.
