Barrel Racing South Africa to Host Mini-Qualifier in Ermelo

Get ready for an action-packed day in Ermelo as Barrel Racing South Africa (BRSA) hosts a thrilling mini-qualifier event on Saturday, November 9, at Akacheta’s Three Bar Arena (Farm Eikehof, Ermelo). Riders will compete in three rounds of mini-qualifiers, with two “Go’s” per round, offering a perfect mix of excitement and skill-testing moments.

The event is all about points, no payouts, focusing on speed, agility, and precision as riders aim to beat the arena record of champion Wilru De Vries, who clocked an impressive 18.567 seconds on this very ground. For just R150 per horse per round, competitors can enter one, two, or all three rounds, depending on their goals for the day.

Spectators are encouraged to bring along their braai kits or simply enjoy a “Hit & Run” experience. Whether you want to stay and enjoy the day or come and go as you please, this event promises something for everyone. Don’t miss the chance to see future champions in action and enjoy the camaraderie that makes barrel racing a unique and thrilling sport.
