The Christ Revealed Tabernacle (CRT) Charity Drive 2025, held under the heartfelt theme “Bring Back Home – It takes a village to raise a child,” proved to be a resounding success. The event, hosted on the morning of 25 July, united community leaders, educators, learners, and faith-based organisations in a spirit of generosity, compassion, and collective purpose.
Guided by the biblical call from Isaiah 1:17 to “defend the oppressed” and “take up the cause of the fatherless,” the morning’s programme featured inspiring speeches, prayer, and joyful celebration. MC Khanyisile Shongwe led the proceedings, which included powerful messages from the School Governing Body, Principal, and guest speakers like motivational speaker Mlondi Shabalala and Bishop Sibiya.
The highlight of the event came during the item handover ceremony, where select learners were gifted brand-new school shoes. In addition, CRT donated essential supplies to the school, including sanitary pads, hygiene products, soap, and toilet paper – a much-needed boost to learner well-being and dignity.
The event concluded with a photo session and a heartfelt vote of thanks from the school and students, marking the end of a morning that truly embodied the spirit of Ubuntu. CRT’s ongoing commitment to social upliftment and youth empowerment was evident in every aspect of the event, reminding all present that through unity and faith, meaningful change is possible.
