Two suspects, June Masondo (27) and Tulani Motha (18), have been remanded in custody following a housebreaking incident at a farm in Ermelo. The pair were caught allegedly packing groceries and alcohol into bags inside the farmhouse.
The farm owner was first alerted to a fire on his property by a neighbour. While responding, he received another call—this time from his wife—reporting intruders in their home. Rushing back, he discovered the suspects inside, actively packing stolen items.
Local police arrived swiftly after being called, arresting both individuals on the spot. The suspects appeared before the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 12 August and where set to return on Monday, 18 August, for a formal bail application.
