Msukaligwa Local Municipality has strengthened its waste management capacity following the official handover of a new Waste Skip Loader and skip bins on 3 July 2026. The ceremony was held at the Waste Management Site on Ennis Street in Ermelo and was attended by Executive Mayor Alderwoman MP Nkosi, Members of the Mayoral Committee, councillors, municipal management and officials.
The new skip loader will support the municipality’s Community and Social Development Department in transporting and servicing skip bins across identified communities. According to the municipality, the bins will be strategically placed at selected locations to provide residents with more accessible waste disposal points, improve waste collection services and help discourage illegal dumping.
Executive Mayor Nkosi reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to investing in infrastructure and resources that support improved service delivery. Residents were encouraged to use the skip bins responsibly, protect municipal assets and work with the municipality to help create cleaner, safer and healthier communities.
