Congratulations are in order for Vuyani Khumalo, a Grade 11 learner at Netherland Park Secondary School, as he continues to make his mark in the world of rugby refereeing.
Vuyani began his refereeing journey after successfully completing the Mpumalanga Rugby Referee Society (Pumas) online referee training course in February 2025. He has since been officiating matches across the Highveld region, gaining valuable experience and growing in confidence as a young match official.

Among his notable achievements is his selection as a match official for the 43rd Amajuba Sports Week, an annual tournament hosted in Volksrust — a wonderful milestone for the promising young referee.
Netherland Park Secondary School celebrated Vuyani’s dedication, passion and growing success, wishing him all the best as he continues developing his skills and building a bright future in rugby officiating.
