Ermelo Youth Photographers Excel in the International Youth Open Cup of Russia

During the 38th Youth Photographic Competition 2025, hosted by Luxembourg under FIAP, young photographers from the Ermelo Photo Club achieved outstanding results at the International Youth Open Cup of Russia.

The Ermelo participants competed as part of the South African team, which comprised 63 youth photographers. Of these, 45 successfully received acceptances. The South African team secured a total of 178 acceptances, including 20 awards made up of four medals, one FIAP Ribbon, and fifteen Honourable Mentions.

 

Team South Africa also proudly won “The Gold Cup of Russia among the countries”—the top award for all participating countries outside Russia. The Youth Photographic Competition is open to photographers worldwide under the age of 25.

 

Ermelo Youth Achievements

  • Luané Kruger (Laerskool JJ van der Merwe) received a PCP Honourable Mention for her photo “Lente”.
