A big well-done to Betsie Vermeulen, proud Ermelo resident and teacher at Hoërskool Ermelo, who has officially completed her 50th parkrun!

Betsie reached this milestone at Kralinbergh parkrun, a free, weekly, timed 5km event held every Saturday at 08:00 on the scenic grounds of Kralinbergh Guest House & Wedding Venue, Buhrmannstafelkopp Farm, Ermelo.

Kralinbergh parkrun brings together people of all ages and fitness levels — whether you prefer to run, jog, walk or volunteer, everyone is welcome. It’s a community-driven space where residents can enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and connect with familiar faces. And the best part? It’s completely free.

Each Saturday ends off with a friendly post-parkrun coffee meetup at a local café, where participants can unwind, share stories, and celebrate achievements just like Betsie’s.

Once again, congratulations to Betsie on this fantastic accomplishment. Here’s to many more kilometres!
