The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has announced a planned water outage at the Usutu River Government Water Scheme to allow for essential maintenance work at the Overwacht Reservoirs.
The outage is scheduled for Monday, 12 January, from 06:00 until 22:00. During this period, there will be no water supply to the municipality.
It should be noted that the Southern Water Treatment Works and Davel Water Treatment Works, which receive raw water from the Jericho Dam, will also be affected by the planned outage.
Affected areas include:
Nederland Park
De Bruin Park
John Voster Park
Goerge Botha Park
Cassim Park
New Ermelo
Autumn Ridge / Nomndeni
Ermelo Extensions 5, 18, 32, 33 and 34
Davel / KwaDela
Residents in the affected areas are requested to store water in advance and use it sparingly during the outage period.
