Two athletes from Ermelo delivered an impressive performance at the HYROX event in Cape Town, finishing among the top competitors in the Pro division.
Heléne Coetzer and Lara Bruwer competed in the women’s doubles Pro category, where they secured an overall top-five finish. The pair also placed third in their age group, highlighting their strong showing against a highly competitive field.
HYROX is an internationally recognised fitness race that combines endurance running with functional workout stations, testing both strength and stamina. Competing at this level requires intense preparation and discipline.
The Ermelo duo’s achievement places them among the top-performing athletes at the event and reflects the growing presence of local competitors on the national fitness stage.
