The DAWN (Dignity, Assistance, Wisdom, Nurture) Initiative has launched its Winter Collection Drive, calling on the community to help bring warmth and comfort to children in orphanages this season.

Under the theme “Warmth is more than a blanket,” the campaign encourages donations of essential items including warm clothing for boys and girls of all ages, non-perishable food, nappies, toiletries, and new or gently used blankets. The initiative aims to ensure that children not only stay warm, but also feel seen, safe and cared for during the colder months.

Organisers highlighted that even small contributions can make a meaningful difference, with the drive focused on sharing love, dignity and basic necessities with vulnerable children.

Residents who would like to contribute or find out about drop-off points can contact Hannah (068 318 2474), Janice (072 401 1449), or Chantal (072 460 1654) for more information.
