Exciting news for Mpumalanga as the 9th Mister Mpumalanga has officially been crowned during a glamorous grand coronation held at the Mbombela Civic Theatre. The event brought together supporters, leaders and communities from across the province in a celebration of youth leadership, culture and empowerment.
After months of preparation, Nkosikhona Roro from Govan Mbeki Municipality in the Gert Sibande District was crowned Mister Mpumalanga 2026.
He was joined by:
- 1st Runner-Up: Joy Maphanga from Mbombela Municipality, Ehlanzeni District
- 2nd Runner-Up: Samukelo Tala from Thembisile Hani Municipality, Nkangala District
Roro will represent Mpumalanga and South Africa at Mister Cosmopolitan 2026, set to take place in Vietnam in September 2026.

The ABM Foundation thanked its headline sponsors, the Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation, as well as the Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism, together with all sponsors, stakeholders, media partners and supporters who contributed to the event’s success.
The foundation also highlighted that many of the individuals who worked behind the scenes were beneficiaries of ABM Foundation programmes, reflecting its continued focus on youth empowerment and skills development.
