Enyibe Community Gains Access to Electricity

The Enyibe community marked a major infrastructure milestone on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, with the completion of the Enyibe Electrification Project, implemented by Eskom.

Msukaligwa Local Municipality (MLM) joined the Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) to witness the completion of the project, which forms part of ongoing efforts to expand access to reliable electricity infrastructure. Access to electricity is expected to support education, economic activity, community safety and the delivery of essential services.

The programme also included the handover of blankets to senior citizens, aimed at supporting vulnerable residents during the cold winter season.

MLM Executive Mayor Alderwoman M.P. Nkosi and GSDM Executive Mayor Cllr M.W. Mngomezulu welcomed the successful completion of the project and reaffirmed their commitment to working with strategic partners to improve infrastructure development and service delivery across local communities.
