A large tree was uprooted by strong winds and fell onto a parked car outside the Msukaligwa Fire Station early this morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Wedgewood Avenue and Border Street.
The car sustained heavy damage, with the front windscreen shattered and significant denting to the roof. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as the vehicle was unoccupied at the time.
Municipal workers arrived shortly after the incident to assess the damage and begin clearing the scene. Residents are urged to remain cautious during windy conditions, particularly around older or unstable trees.
