Police Renew Search for Prince Gift Mdluli in SAPS Murder Case The South African Police Service (SAPS) has intensified its search for Prince Gift Mdluli, urging the public to assist in locating him. Mdluli is believed to possess crucial information regarding the murder of Lt Col Piet Pretorius, commander of the Ermelo Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit.
Lt Col Pretorius was fatally shot on 16 January 2025 in what investigators suspect was a targeted attack. Since the incident, several arrests have been made, but police believe additional individuals may be linked to the case.
As part of their ongoing investigation, SAPS has renewed its appeal for anyone with knowledge of Mdluli’s whereabouts to come forward. Authorities stress that all information will be treated with strict confidentiality.
