Msukaligwa – 8 January 2026
A local woman’s dream of opening her own daycare centre took a major step forward this week thanks to a community outreach initiative led by MP Juliet Basson and the Patriotic Alliance (PA) in Msukaligwa.
The woman, who plans to start a daycare facility for young children in her area, approached the PA for assistance. In response, Basson and members of the party, along with community volunteers, stepped in to provide practical support to help turn her vision into reality.
According to the PA, the assistance was not only aimed at supporting the business owner, but also at ensuring that approximately 25 children will soon have a safe and secure place where they can sleep, learn and be cared for.
Speaking about the outreach, Basson said the initiative reflects the party’s commitment to working directly with communities and addressing real needs on the ground.
“This is about more than just donations. It’s about restoring dignity, creating opportunities and helping people build something sustainable for themselves and their communities,” she said.
The PA says initiatives like these reflect its “People First” approach and its commitment to hands-on community development rather than empty promises.
The team expressed optimism about the future of the daycare and said they look forward to seeing it open and grow into a valuable resource for families in the area.
iNews Ermelo will continue to highlight community projects that make a positive difference in the lives of local residents.
