Laerskool Ermelo is celebrating after Grade 7 English teacher Natasha Venter achieved first place in Mpumalanga during the provincial round of the 2026 National Teaching Awards.
Venter competed in the Excellence in Primary School Teaching category. Her provincial success follows an equally impressive first-place finish in the district round.
Having earned first-place at both district and provincial level, Venter will now proudly represent Mpumalanga in the national round of the competition.
The school warmly congratulated Venter on her achievement and wishes her the best as she takes the next exciting step in the competition.
