The well-known company OLX, owned by Naspers, has shut down its South African horizontal classifieds platform on Tuesday.

The OLX platform made it simple for South Africans to find, buy, sell, and trade used products and services. It was free and could be accessed from a computer or a mobile device. Reports showed that OLX South Africa is now no longer available, according to visitors to OLX.co.za. Users are being referred to AutoTrader.co.za and Property24.com by a message that says, “we can still help you find your new car or property,” as seen on their websites landing page.
