Back row: Sensei Eugene Smith, Hentie Slabbert, Uhuru Mathebula, Blake Schoeman, Xanadu Smit and Sensei Jacolien de Beer. iNews Ermelo: 24 June 2019 Karateka's of the Ermelo Shotokan Karate Academy recently participated in the Kuyukai Karate Challenge that was held at the Witbank Correctional facility. The 11 karateka’s came away with a tally of 9 medals that included 2 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze. Sensei Eugene and Sensei Jacolien said they are very proud of the students’ achievements. “We have worked hard at training them and we can see that their dedication is paying off.” Anybody wishing to join the Ermelo Shotokan Karate Academy can contact sensei Eugene at 072 361 6680.
