Across the country, many towns are battling with failing infrastructure, poor maintenance and growing pollution — leaving communities frustrated and feeling neglected. That is why it stands out when local organisations step in to restore order and protect their own spaces rather than waiting for someone else to act.
In September, AfriForum’s Chrissiesmeer branch did exactly that by focusing on safety and visible clean-up efforts to make the town safer, cleaner and more welcoming.
