The fire reportedly started in an abandoned adjacent yard and spread to another two neighbouring yards. The Msukaligwa Fire Department had its hands full of extinguishing one yard, which contained car wrecks and rolls of conveyor belt. Many conveyor belt rolls and one of the car wrecks in the said yard caught fire, and Msukaligwa Fire fought the fire for approximately 45 minutes. Luckily for the swift response of the Fire Department, no buildings were damaged in the fire. According to Fire Chief Jaco Johnstone, nobody was injured. He also applauded and would like to thank Chris Pullen for being vigilant and for reporting the fire.
