With school holidays in full swing, the South African Police Service (SAPS) is urging parents and young people to prioritise safety while enjoying their break. A new SAPS awareness campaign highlights key safety rules for children and teens, encouraging vigilance, communication, and confidence.
Key Holiday Safety Tips:
- Don’t go out alone – Stick with friends or family.
- Always inform an adult where you're going.
- Say NO if you feel threatened – Trust your instincts and speak up.
The campaign also promotes the My SAPS mobile app, a free tool for reporting crimes and emergencies anonymously.
