Ermelo Athletic Club members showcased their endurance at the Witbank Marathon held last weekend. Zelda Keyser completed the 42km race in 5 hours and 8 minutes, finishing first—and the only competitor—in her under-50 women’s age category. Despite struggling with sinus issues on the day, she displayed remarkable determination to finish strong.
Fellow club member Frik Henning also took on the demanding 42km route, finishing in 5 hours flat, while Mpho represented the club in the 21km race. Their performances once again highlight the commitment and passion of Ermelo’s distance runners on the provincial road-running circuit.
