Two members of Ermelo Athletic Club participated in the Glow Fun Run, hosted by Laerskool Klipfontein in collaboration with Eskom Athletics Club MPU on 14 August 2024.
Over 400 runners participated in the 10km event, attracting participants from various areas. Representing Ermelo Athletic Club, Andries Koekemoer and Cicile Erasmus delivered strong performances. Koekemoer finished second in the 50+ category with 51 minutes and 26 seconds, while Erasmus claimed first place in the 40+ category, clocking 51 minutes and 29 seconds.
The event awarded equal prize money for men and women in all categories, promoting inclusivity and fair competition. With its lively atmosphere and community participation, the Glow Run was a night to remember for all involved.
