This past weekend, Ermelo played host to a vibrant and competitive lawn bowls tournament that drew players and fans from across the region.
A total of 88 bowlers descended on the Phoenix Kosmos Bowls Club, vying for a generous prize pool of R30,000. The level of play was top-tier, with participants showcasing excellent sportsmanship and skill throughout the event.
The top-performing teams were as follows:
- 1st Place: Surf & Turf from Durban
- 2nd Place: The Unknown from Secunda
- 3rd Place: Awesome 4some from Middelburg
- 4th Place: No Bias representing Delmas and Heidelberg
The Phoenix Kosmos Bowls Weekend was not only a celebration of talent but also a testament to the growing camaraderie within the sport. Judging by the enthusiasm and turnout, this event is sure to remain a favourite on the local sports calendar.
