The Tussentreine/Spoorweg Pensioners group will host its annual Fishing Competition on 18 October 2025 at Teen die Meer, Chrissiesmeer.
Tussentreine has been active for four years, and this will be the third year the group hosts the fishing event. Organisers expect around 100 fishermen to take part, making it a day of sport and community support.
The purpose of the competition is to raise funds for pensioners in need. Organisers note that hosting such an event involves costs, and they welcome assistance from businesses and individuals.
Donations can be made to the Tussentreine Stockvel account at First National Bank, Ermelo (Acc no: 63009329946). Proof of payment may be sent via WhatsApp to Hennie le Roux at 079 700 4888.
Funds raised will help provide support for pensioners throughout the year.
