In the last week of April and the beginning of May 2024, the Ermelo Country Club hosted two captivating golf tournaments.
On Saturday, 27 April, the club hosted the Better Ball Club Competition. This event featured pairs of golfers combining their efforts to post the best score. W Els and B Nel emerged victorious with a score of 45. The runner-up spot was closely contested, with B Delport and M Sandenbergh just a stroke behind at 44. S du Preez and R Venter claimed third place with a commendable score of 43.
On Wednesday, 1 May, the I.P.S. Club Competition took the spotlight, where local golfers competed in a stroke-play format. Deon van Zyl and Johan v Greunen tied for the top spot, each carding impressive scores of 39. Close on their heels were Gary Dennis and Sion Delport, who shared the third position with scores of 37, followed by Gert vd Merwe, rounding out the top five.
