The Great Lake Marathon, held at Ark Christian School on 25 May 2024, showcased exceptional performances from the Ermelo Athletic Club members. Participants from the club took home several top positions, demonstrating their dedication and athletic prowess.
Marathon results:
- Elize Botha triumphed in the 10km women's 50+ category, finishing the race in 1 hour and 10 minutes.
- Cecile Erasmus dominated the 21km race, finishing in 1 hour and 54 minutes, securing the 1st place in the women's 40+ category.
- Leana Lloyd followed closely behind, completing the 21km in a commendable time, taking 2nd place in the women's 40+ category.
- Simone Ferreira also made a mark in the 21km race, finishing 3rd overall with 1 hour and 51 minutes.

- Zelda Keyser excelled in the 10km race, finishing in 52 minutes and 37 seconds, earning first place in the women's 40+ category.
- Yolanda Rautenbach, with a time of 1 hour and 1 minute, secured second place in the women's 40+ category for the 10km race.

- Annaline Weweje emerged victorious in the 10km race for the women's 60+ category, completing the run in 1 hour and 26 minutes.
- Nico Weweje impressed with his performance in the 10km race, finishing in 38 minutes and 39 seconds.

Conquerors AC organised the event, which saw a great turnout and fostered a spirit of community and athletic excellence. The marathon also featured different categories with varying distances, making it accessible to many participants.
