Junxtion Pub & Grill, together with Ermelo Spa & Beauty, raised a combined total of R6 000 during the month of November in support of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). The funds were generated through joint community-driven initiatives, underlining the businesses’ commitment to supporting causes that positively impact the local community.
The donation was recently handed over to Ms Thembi Ngwenya, a representative from CANSA, who collected the cheque on behalf of the organisation. She said the contribution
“means a lot to change people’s lives, giving hope to those diagnosed with cancer and those who are survivors.”
Ngwenya explained that many people cannot afford cancer screenings or treatment, and that funds raised are used to assist patients at both private and government healthcare institutions. She added that donations are also directed towards cancer research, educational outreach programmes, and transport for patients from rural areas to their nearest clinics.
For the festive season, Junxtion Pub & Grill is continuing its outreach through a Christmas for Kiddies Drive in partnership with CMR Ermelo, aimed at supporting children in need. In addition to donations collected, Junxtion Pub & Grill will contribute R3 towards fundraising for every special purchased during December.
