Construction firm WBHO, in partnership with SANRAL, held a targeted information session on 19 February 2026 aimed at empowering businesses owned by people living with disabilities to participate in upcoming tender opportunities linked to the NATIONAL ROUTE N2 SECTION 34 BETWEEN LEIDEN (KM 59.0) AND CAMDEN (KM 87.4) road improvement project.

The session focused specifically on companies that are at least 51% owned by people with disabilities, with WBHO confirming that a tender for the supply of steel reinforcement for bridge construction has been distributed in local newspapers. Five work packages are available under this opportunity, and interested businesses are strongly encouraged to study the official tender advertisement carefully.

WBHO confirmed that businesses that may have missed this initial information session still have an opportunity to participate by attending the upcoming compulsory tender briefing session. This session will take place on Thursday, 26 February, at 10:00, at 123 Littledale Street, Cassim Park. Attendance is essential, as the evaluation process will be the same for all bidders, making it crucial for qualifying businesses to submit fully compliant tender documents.

To ensure no one is excluded, WBHO confirmed that support is available to assist companies with understanding the tender documentation before submission. Businesses experiencing difficulties downloading the documents can collect copies directly from the WBHO Project Information Centre at 13 Naude Street, Ermelo, where assistance will also be provided for queries and clarification ahead of the tender closing date on 13 March 2026 at 11:00.

Alongside people with disabilities, the project also prioritises opportunities for youth, women, and military veterans, reinforcing efforts to ensure inclusive local economic participation.
