On November 2, local athletes Cicile Erasmus and Andries tackled the demanding Kaapsehoop Marathon in Nelspruit. They both completed the race in 4 hours and 22 minutes, successfully securing their positions for the 2025 Comrades Marathon.

Reflecting on the race, they noted that the downhills tested their stamina, causing sore legs, but ultimately the challenge was worth every stride.

Following the Kaapsehoop Marathon, Erasmus and Andries competed in the 10km South African Championships road race in Durban on November 10. Despite the intense heat, they finished the race in an impressive 52 minutes.

These dual achievements highlight their dedication and serve as inspiration for the local community, showcasing the spirit and resilience of our athletes.
