The Ermelo Country Club golf course, a cherished local landmark, has been under siege by an unexpected intruder – roaming cattle. For nearly five years, the golf course has faced persistent damage caused by cows wandering freely across the grounds, trampling greens, and leaving the well-maintained scenery in disrepair.

Club management, frustrated after repeated attempts to resolve the issue, has spoken out about his struggles. “I’ve tried everything,” he said. “I’ve reached out to the cattle owners numerous times and even involved the police, but nothing has worked.” Despite these efforts, the problem persisted, leaving the club with limited options.

Faced with no cooperation from the cattle owners, the club has decided to take matters in his own hands. Moving forward, stray cattle found on the property will be detained and resold to their respective owners.
