The voices of Ermelo English Primary School’s junior choir lit up the stage at this year’s Ligbron Choir Festival, held on Saturday, 2 August 2025, at the Ligbron School Hall. The event brought together choirs from across the region, celebrating music, harmony, and youthful talent.
Dressed in their distinctive orange and brown uniforms, the learners delivered a performance filled with passion, precision, and teamwork. Their harmonious blend and confident stage presence earned them warm applause from the audience. The festival featured an impressive lineup, including LS Ermelo, Standerton Primary, HS Piet Retief, and the Mpumalanga Youth Choir, among others.
Behind the scenes, the choir’s success was made possible by the dedication of Mrs. Pienaar and Mrs. Carstens, whose guidance and preparation ensured that each learner was ready to shine. Their efforts highlighted not only the school’s commitment to the arts but also the power of teamwork and community spirit.
The Ligbron Choir Festival once again proved to be a celebration of culture and music, offering young singers the chance to connect, perform, and inspire through song.
The Ermelo English Primary School junior choir extends heartfelt thanks to the organisers of the festival for inviting them to be part of this amazing event and for giving them the opportunity to share their talent and love for music.
