The Msukaligwa Local Municipality has issued rotational load reduction schedules for various areas in Ermelo and Wesselton from Monday, 25 August to Sunday, 31 August 2025.
- Ermelo 2 & Portion of Wesselton
Areas such as Extension 14, De Bruin Park, John Vorster Park, Wesselton Ext. 5, Old Wesselton, GDSM offices, hospital, and surrounding extensions will rotate between 17:00–19:00 and 19:00–21:00 during the week.
- Khayelihle (Ext 11) & Extension 6
These areas will be affected mostly in the evening slots, alternating between 17:00–19:00 and 19:00–21:00.
- Ermelo 1 & Cassim Park
Residents in Ermelo East, Cassim Park, and parts of the central town will experience power cuts between 17:00–19:00 and 19:00–21:00.
- Kwazanele & Surrounding Extensions
Areas such as Mafred, Madala, and S’bovini will be switched off between 16:30–18:30 and 18:30–20:30.
- Wesselton, Thusiville & Surrounding Extensions
Extensions 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, as well as Klipbou, Longhomes, Everest Park, Phumula, and Mazakhele, will rotate between 17:00–19:00 and 19:00–21:00.
Areas such as Mafred, Madala, and S’bovini will be switched off between 16:30–18:30 and 18:30–20:30.
