The municipality has confirmed that essential emergency services — including electricity, water and sanitation, refuse removal, and the contact centre — will continue operating throughout the holiday period.

Residents are advised that the offices of Msukaligwa Local Municipality will be closed for the festive season from 15:00 on Friday, 19 December 2025, and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.
During this period, pay points will remain open on 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31 December 2025, as well as on 2 January 2026. Municipal offices will also close earlier at 10:00 on 24 and 31 December 2025. Residents are reminded that third-party vendors and online services, including banks, will remain fully operational for the purchase of electricity and payment of municipal accounts.
