Hoërskool Ermelo made a powerful statement on the track and field at the Midstream Athletics Meeting held on Friday, 6 February, returning home with an impressive 112 medals and three new records set by their athletes.
The Erries’ medal haul included 34 gold, 38 silver and 40 bronze medals, reflecting a strong showing across multiple events and age groups.

Among the standout performances were Eli Lötz (U/14), who set a new record finishing first in discus, second in hurdles and second in shot put. Marize Gilliers (U/15) also made her mark with a new record, claiming first place in the 800m and second place in the 1500m. Taylor Botha (U/16) completed the trio of record-breakers, securing first place in the javelin with a record-setting throw.
