Thirty-five of JJ van der Merwe’s athletes have qualified to be part of the Gert Sibande Athletics Team after meeting the required standards across various track and field events. The athletes secured their selection through recent qualifying competitions and will represent the district at provincial level in Mpumalanga on Friday, 27 February 2026.
