Ligbron Open Days Set to Welcome Prospective Learners
Ligbron Akademie vir Tegnologie will host two Open Days later this May, offering prospective learners and parents an opportunity to experience the school’s environment and offerings firsthand.
The English Open Day is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 May 2026, followed by the Afrikaans Open Day on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Ligbron Hockey Dominates Against Standerton
Ligbron’s hockey teams delivered a dominant performance in recent matches against Standerton, with both u.16 and first teams securing victories.
The u.16 boys recorded an impressive 11–0 win, while the first team followed up with a strong 7–0 victory. The results reflect the continued strength of Ligbron’s hockey programme and the depth of talent within the school’s ranks.
Hockey Results: Ligbron vs Monument
Ligbron faced Hoërskool Monument on 11 April in a full day of hockey fixtures, with matches taking place at Hoërskool Monument.
The boys’ sides produced strong performances, with the u.14 team winning 3–2 and the u.16 team securing a 2–1 victory. However, the first team boys fell short, going down 2–4. On the girls’ side, results proved more challenging, with the u.14 and u.15 teams losing 0–2 and 0–1 respectively, while the u.16 team managed a 2–2 draw. The second team girls lost 0–2, and the first team girls suffered an 0–8 defeat.
