Summerfields Private School marked Nelson Mandela Day on Friday, 24 July, by demonstrating that small actions can create big changes, as learners united to support those less fortunate.
As part of the school's Mandela Day initiative, learners arrived at school dressed in their pyjamas while bringing non-perishable food items to donate to those in need. Donations included canned food, pasta, rice and other essential grocery items, with every contribution helping to make a difference in the community.
Nelson Mandela Day serves as a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. Through the generosity of its learners, parents and staff, Summerfields Private School helped keep Madiba's legacy of compassion and community service alive, proving that when people come together, small actions can indeed create big changes.
