Waste collection services have been temporarily suspended in several Wesselton neighbourhoods due to mechanical failures affecting Msukaligwa Local Municipality’s refuse-collection trucks.
The affected areas include Phumla, Extension 2, Madamini, Thembisa, Mine and Cwebezele. Municipal technical teams are repairing the vehicles, which are expected to return to service over the weekend.
Residents are requested to keep refuse securely stored within their properties and not place bins or bags along the roadside until collection services resume. The municipality said it would notify residents once the trucks are operational again.
