SASSA has revised its November 2026 social grant payment dates to minimise disruption during the upcoming local government elections.
The revised schedule, approved by National Treasury, will begin with older persons’ grants on 30 October. Payments will take place as follows:
Older Persons Grant — Friday, 30 October 2026
Disability Grant — Monday, 2 November 2026
Children’s Grants — Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
A further payment date of Thursday, 5 November, is specifically intended for beneficiaries whose grants fall within the review process. Those affected must respond to official SASSA communication and attend review appointments when requested.
SASSA urged beneficiaries to avoid unnecessary visits to its offices and follow official communication channels for updates.
