A qualified and detail-oriented Accountant is sought for a full-time position in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, to manage financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, ensure statutory compliance and provide financial information to support management decisions. The salary is market-related.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience.
- Construction industry experience will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Sage, Pastel, Xero or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports and reconciliations.
- Manage VAT returns and ensure SARS compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier payments and customer invoicing.
- Prepare budgets, monitor cash flow and analyse expenditure.
- Monitor project costs and track expenditure against budgets.
- Reconcile payroll records with the Payroll Officer.
- Maintain financial controls and assist with audits.
