Rietspruit Crushers is looking for a reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious Boilermaker Assistant to join the team in Ermelo in the Workshop / Quarry Operations department. The successful candidate will assist with workshop and site duties supporting boilermaker work on plant, structural steel, machinery and related quarry equipment.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Previous experience in a workshop, fabrication or quarry environment will be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of metalwork tools and workshop practices will be an advantage
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work
- Willingness to learn and work under supervision
- Good work ethic, reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Own reliable transport to Ermelo or willingness to relocate
- Valid South African ID
- Assist boilermakers with fabrication, fitting and repair work
- Help with cutting, grinding, drilling and preparation of materials
- Assist with maintenance and repairs on plant and structural components
- Clean and prepare work areas, tools and materials
- Support welding preparation and general workshop activities
- Load, move and handle materials safely
- Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions
- Perform any other reasonable duties related to the role
