The NPSS chess team delivered an impressive performance during the chess municipal trials, held at Lindile Secondary School on September 4th. Competing in the Under-15 and Under-18 categories, the NPSS learners demonstrated their skills and passion for the game.
Among the Under-18 participants, Nkosinathi Mkhwanazi and Andile Ntekazi showcased their talents, securing wins that allowed them to advance to the district chess eliminations, representing Msukwaliga Municipality.
The Under-15 group saw excellent performances from Lebogang Chigo, Snenhlanhla Msibi, Alwande Ntuli, Mpilonhle Mavimbela, and Lethokuhle Kumalo. These young players also progressed to the district eliminations.

The district trials took place on Saturday, September 7th. Although none of the learners advanced to the provincial level, their hard work and dedication were evident. NPSS extends its gratitude to Ms. Funga, the school's dedicated chess coach, for her invaluable support and guidance.
