This past Saturday, 18 May 2024, the Free State Open wrestling competition saw outstanding performances from Ermelo wrestlers, who brought home eight medals from eight entries.
Medal Winners:
Kyle Breytenbach: 2 Gold
Juard Bischoff: 1 Gold
Ruben Bischoff: 1 Silver
Wynand van der Westhuizen: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
Teghan Breytenbach: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze

Kyle Breytenbach led the pack with two impressive gold medals, showcasing his category dominance. Juard Bischoff added another gold to the club's tally, while Ruben Bischoff and Wynand van der Westhuizen each secured silver medals. Wynand and Teghan Breytenbach also clinched bronze medals, underscoring their competitive edge.
